Part Time Payroll Officer (temp)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Payroll Officer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

The Payroll Officer will play a vital part in supporting organisational operations through precise data entry, analysis, and administration of payroll functions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer the end-to-end payroll process using Sage Payroll.
  • Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, deductions, benefits, and other payroll components.
  • Process employee payments accurately and on schedule, including salary calculations, tax deductions, and statutory contributions.
  • Manage accounts payable related to payroll expenses and reconcile payroll accounts regularly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions in compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
  • Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with human resources to update employee information related to new hires, terminations, or changes in employment status.
  • Assist with audits and prepare reports related to payroll activities for management review.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation affecting payroll processing and ensure organisational compliance.

Part Time – 15-20 hr per week (2-3 days)

5-6 week temporary basis

Salary: £15 - £16 per hour
