Management Accountant
StormX is delighted to be exclusively working with a growing manufacturing business based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. This business’s products are used on a worldwide basis and are highly considered to industry leading. They put key significance on sustainability whilst striving for excellence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Playing a vital role in improving key processes in the Finance team and the wider business.
- Business partnering with teams across the business to ensure commercial interests are being protected and advanced.
- Performing data analysis on business performance – particularly around sales, margins, and stock.
- Reporting key results and metrics to the wider business.
- Owning key pieces of the period-end close process, e.g., preparing and posting journals, preparing and presenting balance sheet reconciliations, accounts preparation work.
- Preparing VAT returns, ONS returns, HMRC environmental returns.
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts, monthly forecasts, annual budgets, board packs.

Skills & Experience
- Prior finance experience as a management accountant required.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant
- Must be highly numerate and analytical.
- Must be highly organised.
- Must be able to work well with Excel and standard office applications.
- Must be able to work well in collaborative settings.
- Must possess strong commercial awareness.
- Must be a self-starter with a positive can-do attitude; we’re looking for people to help transform our business and support our continuous improvement efforts.
- Results and customer oriented.
- Manufacturing experience preferable.
- Must be based within commutable distance from our Hitchin office.

Location: Hitchin
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
