Financial Controller
We are excited to be working with a well established and growing company who have an international presence based in Waltham Cross in Hertford. The role is expected to develop quickly alongside company growth plans.
The ideal person will be either part qualified, finalist or newly qualified with supervisory or management experience looking for a role where they can be the Finance Director’s right hand person!
The company has significant operations in the UK and has recently expanded their operations into international markets.
The company is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individual to make a significant contribution to the continued growth and success of the company.
Key duties will include:
- Supervision, mentoring and development of the Finance Team.
- Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported.
- Manage the preparation and posting of month-end journals e.g., accruals prepayments, and payroll.
- Ensure that all balance sheet and control accounts are reconciled including a review of accruals and prepayments.
- Proactively manage cash flow
- Foreign exchange hedging and management.
- Preparation of payments within the Company’s corporate banking and digital payment systems.
- Preparation of monthly client sales and inventory reconciliation reports.
- Production of quarterly VAT Returns including postponed VAT on imports.
- Provide accurate and timely information for management accounts.
- Work with the Financial Controller and Financial Operations, Planning & Analytics Manager to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Preparation of external financial audit packs.
- Assist with budgets, forecasting and variance analysis.

- Strong reconciliation skill
- Experience in compiling and reconciling VAT Returns including postponed VAT.
- Strong system skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, challenging, entrepreneurial and team-orientated environment.

Location: Waltham Cross
Salary: £70,000 - 75,000
