Financial Controller

This role will report to the Group Finance Director and the key deliverables will involve overseeing the finance function for two group companies, review of month end processes, and preparation of month end reporting alongside management of a finance team of 3.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the month end reporting for budget holders, the Board and for the bank.
- This will include analysis on the performance of the business, commentary on key issues and consolidation of Group results.
- Monitoring and forecasting of cash flow for the Group.
- Review of working capital movements.
- Co-ordination and preparation for budgets and half year forecasts.
- Main contact for the year end audit, including preparation of the required analysis and deliverables.
- Analysis and input for insurance renewals.
- Ensure sufficient balance sheet reconciliations and reviews are completed.
- Support, cover and train other team members.
- Process improvements, such as implementation of an expenses system, improve the BACs process, automation of invoicing and other projects.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Good knowledge of accounting, including consolidations and currency
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and to multitask
- Team working skills and experience of training other finance team members
- Attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- Good knowledge of excel
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Experience preparing consolidated management reports.
- Understanding of internal controls.
- Experience with implementing change and coaching/training others.

The role is required to be based on site.
Location: Royston
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
