Commercial Business Partner

StormX Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively assisting this client in their search for a Commercial Business Partner.

 

This role has been created due to a recent restructure and reports directly into the Head of Business Partnering and FP&A.

 

– For this role you’ll need to be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).

– You will also need to have strong commercial experience within an FMCG, manufacturing environment or similar.

– You’ll need to thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Key aspects of this role will include:

  • Partnering with the Commercial team to drive customer profitability.
  • Overseeing the completion of accurate reporting and presenting key financial data to rest of business.
  • The individual will develop and maintain strong relationships, liaising cross-functionally and demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to establish and enhance existing systems and processes.

 

Principle Accountabilities for Commercial Accountant:

  • Business partner the Commercial team, support them with added value financial information around true customer/product profitability, gap analysis etc
  • Challenge margins on weekly profitability, ensuring a true & fair representation of trading delivery
  • Support the NAMs in understanding and interrogating weekly performance reporting
  • Act as financial link across sites/BUs to help ensure a joined up Commercial approach on decision making
  • Help the business make smarter, profit-maximising decisions
  • Ensure all costings are signed off and confirmed in good time for launch.
  • Liaising with FP&A and Master data to ensure correctly reflected in ERP system and in weekly accounts
  • Ensuring accurate financial data around forecasts and budgets in line with the timetables to deliver correctly forecasted commercial profitability.
  • Maintaining and monitoring risks and opportunities across the key customers
  • Liaising with other business partners and FP&A lead
  • Covering the Head of Business Partnering and FP&A when required in key business meetings

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical ability
  • Able to work under pressure and successfully prioritise
  • Positive and self-motivated mindset, able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various stakeholders
  • Proven track record to influence and communicate
  • Advanced Excel essential, ACCA/CIMA qualified

Location: Stevenage
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
