Audit Manager
We are recruiting for an Audit Manager for a small growing firm of Accountants based in Hertford who are looking for a progressive candidate who is looking to head up their audit department.
You’ll have a proven track record of leading audit engagements from planning to completion, mentoring junior staff with a constructive approach, and building trusted and long-lasting client relationships.
This firm is a well-established local firm and is looking for a seasoned auditor who can help to shape the future vision of its thriving audit function.
- Manage audits from planning to completion, including field work.
- Portfolio is currently 30 clients (largest £50 million t/o)
- Leading audits from planning to completion
- Oversee WIP, billing and ensure deadlines are met.
- Preparation and review of financial statements.
- Mentor junior staff and support with their learning and development.
- Monitor and nurture client relationships.
- Work alongside and part of the senior management team and support with company growth.
- Assist with target setting and department budgeting.
- Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
- Confidently network to promote the department.
- Oversee the audit team and champion the firms values within the team
- Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills.
The candidate must be ACA or ACCA qualified with at demonstrable audit experience within practice and be adept at leading audits from planning to completion.
Ideally previous supervisory experience with great people management skills and strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
Location: Hertford
Salary: £50,000 - 65,000 per annum
