Jobseekers! How and why your tone of communication in an interview matters…

Read these two answers to the question – “How would you describe your ability with Microsoft Excel”

1) “Yes, I have a working knowledge; I’ve used it throughout my career as spreadsheets and reporting have always been part of my role, but I’m conscious that I could be better”

2) “Yes, I’d love to learn more about Excel; I’ve used it throughout my career as spreadsheets and reporting have always been part of my role, so improving those skills would be amazing and I’d be really keen to do so”

They’re basically both saying the same thing, but one is infinitely more “glass is half full”,

Being positive, even when a Question examines an area of your background that could be perceived as a weakness or lacking, is sooooo underrated in interviews.

Show desire, drive, passion to improve the things you don’t have in abundance.

That’s the type of person who get’s hired.
