Is there a trend towards being back in the office full time in 2025?
Last week, I asked the question and over 300 of you good people responded! 👍 👏 🙏
Here’s the results:
I asked: On average how often are you in the office – either through choice or demand?
Full remote 14%
1 – 2 days a week 39%
3 – 4 days a week 32%
Full time in the office 16%
Only 16% back in the office full time – or maybe these are the people that have always been in the office and never worked from home.
Only 14% fully remote – we don’t see many of these opportunities, although they obviously do exist. Potentially great for family life and saving money on travel/cars etc. Questionable for mental health?
The vast majority of people (over 70%) are still working under a hybrid model, somewhere between 1 and 4 days a week in the office. Giving flexibility, but all the positives of being in the office and having some structure.
In reality, I think there is a shift towards more days in the office, possibly more through choice than demand – but good flexibility seems to remain for the majority.
We’ll be keeping an eye on market trends so that we can offer the best advice and market knowledge to our clients and candidates.
