Technical CAD Designer

A leading UK manufacturing company specialising in high-quality displays and fixtures for premium brands across the retail and hospitality sectors is seeking a Technical CAD Designer to join its busy design team based in Letchworth Garden City.

 

The company operates from a large UK-based manufacturing facility with fully integrated, in-house capabilities including metalwork, joinery, plastics, and print, offering a complete design and manufacturing solution under one roof.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment.

 

There could be opportunities within this business for both an experienced Designer and also a less experienced candidate in need of training and development.  You will ideally have some relevant experience or a related degree.

 

The Role

• Create workable designs for manufacture while maintaining original design intent
• Produce full production drawing packs using 3D CAD software
• Assist in managing projects throughout the entire manufacturing process
• Liaise and consult with customers and suppliers

 

The Person

• Experience using Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
• Retail design and joinery experience is ideal.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage own projects to tight deadlines
• Based within a commutable distance of Letchworth Garden City

 

Hours & Contract

• Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:30
• Permanent, full-time position
• Hybrid working options may be considered after initial training

 

Location: Letchworth
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
